The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees
The United Nations General Assembly had started the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees on December 14, 1950. The purpose of this agency is to protect refugees and to solve refugee problems worldwide. By nineteen-ninety-one, twenty-seven-thousand Salvadoran refugees came home from America, with the help of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
"In more than six decades, the agency has helped tens of millions of people restart their lives."
