Immigration Act 1990
On November twenty-ninth, nineteen-ninety, the President signed into law P.L. 101-649, the Immigration Act of nineteen-ninety. The immigration act of nineteen-ninety increased overall immigration by approximately thirty-five percent, more than doubled employment based immigration from fifty-four-thousand to one-hundred-twenty-thousand visas, and reconfigured the educational and skill qualifications required of these immigrants, with pronounced tilt toward the high end of the scale.
